When it's ready!

I'm hoping to have at least an MVP of this iteration complete by end of year. Following MVP I'm hoping to begin testing with a small pool of users to see what costs are. If things go well I'll slowly open up the platform to more users.

I felt like it would improve Armada's development velocity and make Armada more scaleable longterm. It's a much more mature development environment than PySide, so there's a ton of resources and frameworks to leverage.

Right now I'm planning to initially offer Armada for free to a small pool of testers during alpha tests (I'll cover costs), then roll out a payment/donation system that users can use to support further development and maintenance.

The legacy desktop app will remain free, but not actively developed at this time. My current plan is to prioritize building a strong foundation for the web app. I'd love to get to a place where I can port the web client over to a desktop app as a free service though, so maybe that can happen one day.
